2IC - Assistant Director/Educational Leader

Full Time / Permanent

About our Centre:

Westcare Early Learning Centre is a family-owned business that offers quality care in the Early Childhood Sector. Based on Montessori environments our teaching practices aim to enrich the strengths of our children and foster their natural curiosity for playing and learning allowing a flexible approach and a willingness to embrace the Montessori Philosophy.

Our Centre is a purpose built modern Centre which has a capacity for up to 100 children per day, from ages 6 weeks to 6 years of age across 5 rooms. As a long day care Centre we are open from 6:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday, closing only on Public Holidays.

We are now looking for a highly motivated experience Assistant Director (2IC) to join our team.

Your Role:

As a part of the Leadership team you will be reporting to the Centre Director.

Helping and supporting the Centre Director manage the day to day operations in accordance with legislative requirements and company policies
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to our dedicated team of Educators.
Put children and families first and ensure they have the best possible service
Ensuring the Centre is well maintained
Effectively handling the Centres financial requirements in line with budget guidelines
Managing staffing rosters with the director
Actively participating in attracting, converting and retaining families through management of tours, enrolments and orientations
Establish strong relationships with the children, families, Educators, community and stakeholders

Requirements:

Hold a diploma in children’s services
Had previous experience as a Assistant Director
Hold a current first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications
Hold a current working with children’s check and National police check
Have extensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards (NQS) and Quality improvement plan (QIP)
Are willing to learn or understand XPLOR operating system
Have excellent organisation skills
Have the ability to contribute to a harmonious, professional and positive work culture

Diploma & Certificate 3 Educators

Looking for your next exciting journey in Childcare?

We are now recruiting Casual/part-time/full-time Educators and Lead Educators to join our growing Centre and team to start immediately.

Your requirements for the role:

Hold a Certificate 3 in children’s services or a Diploma in Early Childhood
Hold First Aid for Centres and Schools, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates
Hold a current WWCC
Be flexible and able to work across 6:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday
Have a good understanding of the National Quality Framework and Standards and reflect these in your daily practice
Have good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and Australian Curriculum, and confident in leading a quality program.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have the ability to contribute to a harmonious, professional and positive work culture
Able to develop and maintain strong relationships with children and families

Early Childhood Teacher

Full Time / Permanent

About the Centre:

At Westcare Early Learning Centre we value each child’s individuality, strengths, knowledge and interests, and extend on these by providing a child-centred program based on the Montessori Approached and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Essential Criteria:

Hold a qualification (Bachelor of Education) Early childhood or hold an ACECQA approved teaching qualification.
Montessori qualification is preferred but not required (Mentoring on site available)
Experience in the Early years Learning industry
Comprehensive understanding of NQF and previous implementation of EYLF
Current Approved qualifications for child protection, First aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
WWC Check.

Your Role:

Contribute to a harmonious, professional and positive collegiate culture
Be a dynamic, flexible, hands-on Educator working in a team environment
Be able to plan and implement lessons and experiences based on the Montessori Early Years Learning Framework (MEYLF), connecting it to the EYLF, and recording observations for the children’s profiles
Produce individual learning plans for each child
Plan and implement a school reediness program
A high standard of verbal and written communication skills in English is essential.
