Westcare Early Learning Centre Camden Park is a purpose built early learning centre at 383 Anzac Highway, on the run between Glenelg and the city. We care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years, Monday to Friday, from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

The centre is a few minutes from Plympton, Novar Gardens, Glandore, Netley and North Plympton.

We want the move from home to feel small. Each environment is set up so a child can put their own bag away, reach what they need and find the same familiar face waiting at the door every morning.

Our educators work from the Early Years Learning Framework and bring Montessori inspired practice into it. The materials sit on low open shelves, and children choose what they work on and how long they stay with it.

Our Margot, our Centre Director

Margot is the Director of Westcare Camden Park and has over nine years of experience in the early childhood sector, working across a variety of educational settings and age groups. Throughout her career, she has developed strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of children’s learning, development, and wellbeing, with a particular interest in Montessori-inspired practice.

She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), as well as a Diploma in Montessori Education for children aged 0–6 years. Margot is passionate about incorporating Montessori principles into early childhood practice and has a strong commitment to supporting children’s development. She believes in creating nurturing, respectful, and inclusive environments where children are encouraged to develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

As Director, Margot is committed to leading and supporting a team of dedicated educators who provide high-quality education and care. She values strong partnerships with families and believes that open communication and collaboration are essential in supporting each child’s individual learning journey. Her focus is on ensuring every child feels safe, secure, and valued while being encouraged to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace.

He comes home regulated and happy. When I pick him up there’s always an educator right by his side cheering him on. The facility is clean, safe and organised well. When our previous childcare centre closed, we were quite worried about finding the right place for our son. My wife and I visited several centres, and we decided to choose the one where Mati felt the most comfortable.

At the other centres, he was shy and didn’t want to separate from us. But the moment he walked into Westcare, everything changed. Within a minute, he was happy, settled, and didn’t want to leave. That gave us so much confidence.

Since starting at Westcare, we have genuinely seen a different child. Every time we pick him up, he is smiling and clearly happy. We really appreciate the system they use to keep us informed about his day, and the level of care from the educators is something special. You can truly see how much they care, and how much they love the children.

Marie is absolutely wonderful. Her big smile makes every morning feel welcoming, and Mati always runs to her for a big hug, which is very unusual for him. Rachel has also been incredible from day one. You can clearly see her passion, as well as her strong focus on both safety and education, which gives us great peace of mind.

This is a beautiful place, and we trust them with the person we care about the most. In the near future, our newborn daughter will definitely be attending as well.

Beautiful centre with such wonderful educators that are willing to provide their support and comfort to each and every child.
